Elite Races
To qualify for the Elite divisions, athletes need a verifiable time within the last 24 months that is at or under the following:
Women - 5:50.0 mile, 5:24.2 1500m, 5:48.0 1600m
Men - 4:50.0 mile, 4:28.6 1500m, 4:48.3 1600m
If there are more than 15 valid entries for either Elite division, the fastest 15 times will run in the Elite division and rest will run in their respective age/gender divisions. This will be determined when online registration closes; no day of registration for the Elite divisions.
Elimination Mile
We will end the Night of Miles with a fun race for athletes and spectators alike!
- Any athlete who runs in a division can also declare themselves for the Elimination Mile (there is no addition cost)
- Declarations must be made to the Clerk anytime up to 30 minutes after the athlete completes their regular mile race
- 6 athletes per heat, based solely on their time from that evening, regardless of age or gender.
- The last athlete across the finish line on each of the first 3 laps drops out of the race, leaving 3 for the final lap.
- We may adjust slightly based on numbers; for example, we may put 7 in a heat and drop 2 after Lap 1.
